Melissa Leapman returns to A Good Yarn!
We’re excited to announce that as part of our third anniversary celebration, renowned knit and crochet designer Melissa Leapman will be returning to teach three workshops with us next month! Melissa joined us for our second anniversary party last year, and we’re thrilled that she’s back. A preeminent designer, Melissa has published several books and had her work featured in every major needlecrafts publication in the country. Flatter Yourself: Fully-Fashioned Secrets of the Pros
Friday, November 9, 2012 | 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
In this fun hands-on workshop, learn how designers use fully-fashioned shaping to create flattering sweaters. No matter your shape, use your knitting prowess to create knockout pieces that fit and flatter.
You’ll be knitting projects like Melissa’s Leighlinbridge Aran like a pro after the cabling class!
Look, Ma, No Cable Needle
Sunday, November 11, 2012 | 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Want to knit an Aran pattern lickety-split? Learn to cross your cables without a cable needle. After some hands-on practice in class, you’ll wonder why those awkward cabling tools were even invented!
Stash Buster Magic
Sunday, November 11, 2012 | 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Got yarn? Transform even your tiniest bits and pieces into a beautiful, one-of-a-kind jacket! In this workshop you’ll learn designer secrets for creating and using a magic ball of yarn while knitting a mini version of this one-piece wonder. Best of all, no one will ever suspect it was crafted from leftovers. Magic, indeed.
Classes are $45 each, or sign up for both Sunday classes for $80.00 with lunch included!
